Perhaps one of the most critical design aspects that will
be addressed is site development. The goal of site development
is to capture the best view possible while designing your home
into the site, not on top of the site.
We like to use materials and colors native to our Sonoran Desert.
Incorporating native color and material into your design allows
your home to appear as a natural part of the desert. Sun exposure
is also critical. It is important to consider how the angle of
the sun will affect your design.
One way that we are able to assure proper site development in
regards to sun exposure and view corridors is by taking a 360
degree picture of your views from the center of your site and
utilizing it to position your house properly. This allows you
to communicate the views that are critical to you. We then have
the ability to track the sun’s course and detail how it
affects each room and its exposure. This is critical for an efficient,
well balanced heating and cooling system.
